We are thrilled to introduce an incredible small business we\u2019re now collaborating with: Colorful Cresties and Creatures LLC<\/strong>, owned and operated by our very own talented dog trainer, Stephenie<\/strong>! While many of you know her as the friendly face behind leash manners and AKC training, what you may not know is that Stephenie has been a passionate reptile enthusiast for over a decade.<\/div>\n

Stephenie\u2019s journey with reptiles began more than 10 years ago, driven by a deep appreciation for these fascinating, often misunderstood creatures. In 2018, her passion blossomed into a business when she welcomed her first pair of crested geckos and just like that, Colorful Cresties and Creatures LLC was born!<\/p>\n

What makes crested geckos so special? According to Stephenie:<\/p>\n

\u201cI got very interested in crested geckos because of how easy their care is. All they require is a room-temperature environment, and a somewhat humid enclosure with foliage. As I did more research, I became fascinated by their genetics. I believe they are one of the most genetically and visually diverse species in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>

From vibrant morphs to their quirky personalities, crested geckos are a favorite for reptile lovers of all experience levels\u2014and Stephenie is dedicated to producing healthy, ethically bred geckos while educating new owners on proper husbandry.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Thinking About Getting a Reptile? Here Are a Few Things to Know:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Whether you\u2019re considering your first gecko or just curious, here are some important tips from Stephenie and the team at Colorful Cresties and Creatures:<\/p>\n

Habitat Matters<\/strong> \u2013 Crested geckos thrive in a vertical enclosure with plenty of foliage and climbing space. Keep humidity between 50-70% and mist their enclosure daily.<\/p>\n

No Heat Lamps Needed<\/strong> \u2013 These reptiles are happy at typical room temperatures (72\u201378\u00b0F). Avoid direct heat sources, which can be harmful.<\/p>\n

Diet is Easy<\/strong> \u2013 Most crested geckos eat a commercial powdered diet mixed with water, often fruit-flavored. Occasional feeder insects like crickets can be a treat, too.<\/p>\n

Genetics Are Cool!<\/strong> \u2013 Each gecko has unique patterns and colors\u2014known as morphs\u2014that can be passed down through careful, responsible breeding. It\u2019s one of the reasons Stephenie fell in love with this species!<\/p>\n

Lifespan and Commitment<\/strong> \u2013 With proper care, crested geckos can live 15-20 years. Make sure you\u2019re ready for the commitment before bringing one home!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>
