We believe training should be fun.

Lord Of The Leash uses positive reinforcement to help dogs understand which behaviors earn rewards and which choices lead to success. We use games to teach and treats when they’re motivating, but food isn’t the only reward we can use. Depending on your dog, we may also incorporate praise, play, toys, access to desired activities, environmental rewards, and other meaningful motivators. The goal isn’t simply to get your dog to perform a behavior.

The goal is to help your dog understand what we’re asking, choose the behavior more reliably, and build skills that carry into everyday life.

The Viscount Single Lesson provides one dedicated 60-minute session with a Lord Of The Leash trainer for clients who need professional guidance without committing to a multi-lesson training program.

Unlike our structured training programs and Royal Maintenance Plan, the Viscount is a standalone session. It does not include ongoing trainer support, continued coaching between sessions, monthly accountability, or a progressive training plan.

Instead, your trainer focuses the appointment on the specific purpose for which the session was scheduled.

The Viscount may be conducted in person or virtually, making it a flexible option for clients who need professional input on a particular training question, skill, or situation.

Our Free Training Evaluation is the starting point for clients considering one of our training programs. It allows us to learn about your dog, discuss your concerns and goals, and determine which Lord Of The Leash training path may be appropriate.

The Viscount Single Lesson is a paid working or consultation session.

You are reserving a dedicated hour of your trainer’s time for hands-on instruction, virtual coaching, consultation, supervised practice, observation, or focused work on a specific training need.

If your primary goal is determining which of our complete training programs is appropriate for your dog, you do not need to purchase a Viscount lesson. Start with our Free Training Evaluation.

HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM ROYAL MAINTENANCE?

The Viscount is designed for one-time support.

Our Royal Maintenance Plan is designed for clients who want an ongoing training relationship after completing their Lord Of The Leash training program.

Royal Maintenance includes a monthly training lesson along with continued trainer support, skill maintenance, accountability, guidance between lessons, and help keeping previously learned skills strong over time.

The Viscount does not include between-session trainer access, ongoing follow-up, continued accountability, or monthly training support.

Clients who consistently need refresher sessions, continued trainer guidance, or ongoing help maintaining their dog’s training will receive substantially more ongoing support through the Royal Maintenance Plan.

COMPLEX BEHAVIOR CONCERNS

The Viscount may be used as a consultation to discuss a complex behavioral concern and receive professional feedback about possible next steps.

However, concerns such as:

WHAT CAN WE WORK ON?

The Sovereign is fully customizable.

Your program may include leash walking, recall, jumping, greetings, impulse control, door manners, settling, household boundaries, confidence, distractions, reactivity, unwanted behaviors, behavioral obedience, behavior modification, or other individualized concerns.

Some dogs need help with several behaviors. Others need concentrated attention in just a few areas.

We work on what you and your dog need most.

MULTI-DOG HOUSEHOLDS

The Sovereign starts at $1,895 for one dog.

Additional dogs from the same household may be enrolled for $100 per additional dog when their training needs can be appropriately addressed within the same 14-day program.

For example:

3 Dogs: $2,095

All enrolled dogs share the same scheduled training time, virtual coaching, daily check-ins, practice assignments, and household training plan. Adding another dog does not provide additional lesson time or separately scheduled appointments.

Your trainer may work with the dogs individually, together, or a combination of both depending on their needs and your household’s goals.

Multi-dog enrollment is subject to approval during your free training evaluation. The number of dogs, their individual needs, and their training goals must be reasonable to address within the same 14-day program.

If the dogs require significantly different training approaches, more complex individual attention, or cannot safely or effectively be trained within the same scheduled program, additional or separate training may be recommended.

WHAT ABOUT POTTY TRAINING, CRATE CONCERNS OR BEHAVIORS THAT HAPPEN WHEN YOU’RE AWAY?

We can help incorporate these concerns into your training plan, too.

Some behaviors happen throughout the day, overnight, or specifically when your dog is alone. For these concerns, we’ll teach you the appropriate routines and training techniques, practice what we can together, and coach you through what needs to happen when your trainer isn’t physically there.

Having one of these concerns does not automatically exclude your dog from The Sovereign. Your free evaluation helps us determine how the concern fits into your dog’s overall training plan and what will require consistent practice from your household outside of lessons.

Feline Majesty is a 5-lesson foundational training program designed to help cats and their humans build better communication, confidence, structure, and practical everyday skills.

Cats are highly capable of learning behaviors, routines, boundaries, and cues when training respects how cats naturally learn and interact with their environment.

Rather than approaching feline training like dog training, Feline Majesty uses cat-appropriate motivation, positive reinforcement, patience, engagement, environmental enrichment, and relationship-based communication to create training experiences your cat can successfully participate in.

Throughout the program, we’ll progressively develop useful household skills while teaching you how to understand your cat’s communication, recognize their limits, motivate them appropriately, and continue building their skills between lessons.

TRAINING BUILT AROUND YOUR CAT

Cats have individual personalities, motivations, comfort levels, and learning styles.

Some cats may enthusiastically participate in longer training exercises, while others learn best through several very short interactions incorporated naturally throughout their day.

For that reason, Feline Majesty is not taught as a rigid checklist where every cat must progress at exactly the same speed.

Your trainer will adjust exercises, expectations, reinforcement, and progression according to your cat’s personality, motivation, confidence, and response to training.

The goal is not to force compliance. It is to create communication your cat understands and wants to participate in.

FELINE MAJESTY VS. THE CAT QUEEN CONSULTATION

The Cat Queen Consultation is designed for clients who need a professional perspective, individualized recommendations, troubleshooting, or guidance surrounding a particular feline concern.

Feline Majesty is a progressive training program.

Instead of one consultation and a written plan, you and your cat work with your trainer across five lessons, allowing us to introduce skills, practice them, troubleshoot challenges, adjust techniques, and progressively build upon your cat’s success.

If you’re primarily looking for answers or guidance surrounding a specific concern, the Cat Queen Consultation may be all you need.

If you want to actively teach your cat skills and develop better communication over time, Feline Majesty is the appropriate training pathway.

BEHAVIORAL & MEDICAL CONSIDERATIONS

Feline Majesty is primarily a foundational training and household-manners program. Significant behavioral concerns may require a different approach or individualized consultation before beginning a progressive training curriculum.

Sudden or significant changes involving litter box habits, appetite, grooming, activity, temperament, or behavior can also have an underlying medical component.

Training and behavioral guidance do not replace veterinary diagnosis or treatment. When appropriate, we may recommend consulting your veterinarian before or alongside training.

He also worked with us on things WE needed as senior citizens trying to manage a 40 lb puppy. He was on time,polite,funny,engaging and very knowledgeable and a true love for animals. Our 21 month old golden doodle mini has been training with me in Illinois for months but then recently began to regress and pick up some unacceptable behaviors,so I reached out to Lord of the Leash when I came to our Florida home. Our trainer, Kiki, was extremely helpful in helping me correct our dog ‘s more recent issues with aggressive behavior towards other dogs. We travel with our dog and I needed help fast in understanding how to correctly respond to my dog’s emotions. She was always good around other dogs then about 2 months it started to really become an issue. Kiki was able to listen to my concerns and patiently teach me and my dog what to do.
Greeting people is another skill we were working on and leash walking were all issues that I felt we had regressed on. Kiki was simply the answer to our prayers. I am confident now in traveling with our dog and have such a better understanding of how to positively continue to work on these areas.

Kiki is so knowledgeable and patient and genuinely wants the best for you and your pet. She was always available in between sessions for guidance too so I never felt lost when things weren’t always going perfectly on my own.
My dog and I are functioning so much better together because of Kiki. Our ultimate goal is to get our dog to pass her therapy dog credentials in Illinois and Kiki went above and beyond in getting us to that goal.

She is extremely knowledgeable and clearly understands dog behavior and training techniques. What really stood out to me was how well she interacted with my dog — she was patient, confident, and built trust very quickly.

We recently relocated to the area, which caused our already nervous dog, extreme anxiety. It triggered reactive behavior that was borderline getting out of control, panic attacks that were leading him to shake and hide, and as you could imagine some very overwhelmed pet parents! After just one week of working with this incredible team, we already saw progress. And now after six weeks, we have a totally different dog. Although we still have some work to do, we feel like we have the confidence to keep our pups moving in the right direction. Kiki and Juan were absolutely incredible! They were able to read our dogs behavior, tell us what was going on, and have an incredibly methodical way of training the humans to train the dogs. Lord of The Leash has an amazing system and app that keeps you informed throughout the time you are away. I was very impressed with the meeting of our pets prior to us becoming clients. Once we agreed on what was needed and the reasonable cost, we downloaded an app and complete instructions on how to use it were provided with hands on demo.
We received photos and alerts when service was started and completed.
